As seasons change our moods can change as well. This could be a sign of Seasonal Affect Disorder (SAD). Some signs to look for could be: Lack of Energy, Social Withdrawal, Decreased interest in work or other activities, Increased appetite or weight gain, changes in sleep. If you are experiencing these signs an evaluation by a mental health professional can help to determine what course of treatment may be needed.
Yes! Kathy Benjamin, an employee and client in our office, has been thru the cycle of losing weight and regaining it for several years. We both knew she had lots of emotional issues to deal with that were causing her to overeat, but the issues never seemed to go away permanently. We’ve been doing energy work for the last few months and she’s lost over 30 pounds. She also has been able to stop taking the many medications she’d been on. She’s a new person in more ways than one and has found a peace in her life that was missing. Join us on Thursday, October 8 at 6:15 pm for an intro to EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique. We’re using it for weight loss, fears, and even athletic performance. A high school runner cut 30 seconds off his personal record time last weekend after we tapped out some of his limiting beliefs. Call 233-0593 to find YOUR peace and success.

A bad bite can result in continuous muscle contraction of the chewing muscles and lead to pain or what most call a headache. Eighty percent of headaches are muscle contraction headaches and one cause could be your bad bite. Before the teeth are drilled on it should be determined that the jaw joint is in the proper alignment. With the jaw in the proper place then the fit of the teeth can be evaluated. Here at The TMJ Center I use a computer to analyze the bite to determine which tooth hits first, second, third and so on. The teeth should all hit at the same time. The computer will also indicate slides in the bite rather than the normal “solid bite”. A bad bite can also cause a toothache which some treat with a root canal. The root canal may decrease the toothache but the bad bite and the toothache will continue. for answers to your questions or for more info call The TMJ sleep Center concerning sleep apnea, pain, TMJ, headaches, migraines, snoring or related subjects at 234-PAIN, or drdwight@thetmjcenter.com
Ear mites are common in cats, but extremely rate in dogs. It is more likely that your dog has otitis, an ear infection. Otitis may be caused by various kinds of bacteria and yeast. It is also possible that your dog has foreign material in the ears, such as grass seeds. When your dog has any ear problems, such as head shaking, pawing or scratching at the ears, tilting the head, or redness, swelling or discharge from the ears, it is always best to schedule an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam. Your veterinarian will examine the ears, determine the source of the problem, remove grass seeds from the ears if needed, or prescribe medication for whatever type of infection is present.
Remember, all so called “invisible fences” are not the same. We are the original professionally installed containment solution. Invisible Fence Brand® has a 99.5% success rate of containing dogs of all breeds and personalities. We also have a one year pet containment guarantee because of this success. The incidence of dogs crossing the Invisible Fence Brand® solution boundaries can usually be attributed to one of three factors: lack of proper training, dead batteries, or wire breaks. Training problems can easily be addressed with the help of our Invisible Fence Brand pet expert. We share responsibility with pet owners for basic maintenance to ensure the system’s effective operation.
In Brewer v. Lifecare Center of America, the Idaho Supreme Court examined the statutory authority of an employer and its surety to conduct independent medical examinations. Therein, the Court determined that the Claimant’s wholesale refusal to fill out the independent medical examiner’s medical information intake forms and the refusal to provide oral information to the physician constituted obstruction of an IME and were grounds to suspend payment of benefits.
