September and early October is the best time to plant spring blooming bulbs such as tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and crocus.  it is also a great time to divide and move existing bulbs.  Be sure to feed them well with Dutch Bulb Food.  And remember to plant in groupings.  Most fall planted bulbs only produce one flower per bulb, so planting in groups of 10 to 25 bulbs results in a much more striking display in the spring.
